FutureScripts® Associates Lace up Their Sneakers to Step Out in the Fight Against Diabetes

More than 45 FutureScripts associates walked in the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, sponsored by Independence Blue Cross. In Philadelphia, the event began at the steps of the Art Museum on Saturday, October 3.

The team, led by captain Lori Rapp, client manager for FutureScripts, and Paul Urick, senior vice president for FutureScripts, raised $3,600.00 total, with client manager Vishal Patel as the leading fundraiser on the team. Lori Rapp shares that she has personally been affected by Type I diabetes, as both she and her daughter live with the disease every day, which inspired her to lead the FutureScripts team that she named “Beat the Betes.”

Other FutureScripts employees also are affected by diabetes, and many walked in support of their family members or coworkers. In all, more than 3,000 total walkers participated in the Philadelphia event.
